How is a System Stress Event determined?
In the event of a demand control event National Grid ESO will conduct the following analysis to determine whether the:-
- demand control event lasted for a period longer than 15 minutes
- volume of demand control instructed was greater than the volume of generation curtailed by National Grid ESO in the same Settlement Periods
- demand control event was not resultant from the fault(s) on the electricity transmission or distribution networks
